Operation StaySafe Art Workshop at Primet High School

Operation Staysafe is a project in Pendle where agencies regularly come together to protect vulnerable young people from hazards such as alcohol, drugs and other potentially harmful situations. Targeted Police patrols take place at peak times to identify vulnerable young people and take them to a place of safety.

StaySafe have asked young people to design posters to promote the StaySafe project. Last week, police officers spoke in the school assemblies at Primet High School about the project to help give young people an idea of what the project is about.

Today, a group of young people took part in a Staysafe Art Workshop where they designed posters to enter the StaySafe competition with the hope of winning a mountain bike!

The young people spoke about what could happen if they got into drugs and alcohol and how this could affect their lives.

Take a look at the pictures!

Here the young people decorated face masks to show their interpretation of who Operation Staysafe may target.

If you wish to take part in the StaySafe Workshop tomorrow, we will be in the Oracle (Primet High School) at 12:25 till 1 - this is open to Primet Students only.
